Pueraria Javanica is a perennial legume. Its is commonly called KUDZO. It is established and maintained in rubber and oil palm plantations for conserving the soil and for improving or maintaining the soil structure and fertility. Pueraria javanica is a growing vine from Eastern Asia having tuberous starchy roots and hairy trifoliate leaves and racemes of purple flowers followed by long hairy pods containing many seeds grown for fodder and forage and root starch, widespread in the southern United States. They have the ability to fix atmospheric nitrogen which can later be used by the immature rubber and oil palm plants, besides the other characters common to all cover plants.
